Melaleuca powered athlete Shalane Flanagan, 29, finished in second place in the New York Marathon on 7th November 2010. Flanagan ran the 26.2 mile course in an incredibly impressive time of 2:28:40. She finished a mere 20 seconds behind the champion, Kenya’s Edna Kipalat, and 20 seconds ahead of third place Mary Kitany, also of Kenya.
Flanagan, who has previously won an Olympic medal, had been in intense training for 3 months prior to the event, and heavily relied on two Melaleuca products, the Access® Bar and Sustain® Sport, to help her through her training. Read more about this amazing athlete here.
